Essential FunctionsPerforms a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures, including histology, flow cytometry, molecular techniques, gene sequencing, and related technical functions, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis, and may perform microsurgical procedures. Ensures conformity to specifications. Ensures conformity to specifications. Identifies and prepares specimens. Oversees supply management: ordering, procurement, tracking estimates, and receiving items. Operates and maintains applicable laboratory equipment for job functions. Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and logbooks. Organizes and documents results. Maintains, calibrates, cleans, and tests sterility of laboratory equipment.
Routine problem solving is required, generally guided by policies, procedures and business plans. Decisions outside of standard policies are referred to a higher-level manager.
Minimum education to be considered for this position is a Bachelor’s degree.
