Serves as a campus switchboard operator and police dispatcher relaying messages and emergencies. Coordinates the activities of Security and Safety Officials and adheres to the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC's) regulations.

Essential FunctionsMonitors and responds to all radio communications; dispatches calls for service; provides assistance, direction, and information via telephone and radio; enters all relevant data into the department’s records management system; provides assistance to the communication specialist as needed; performs special projects as needed which includes training other dispatchers.
Physical EffortThe successful candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities and high stress situations. The successful candidate must be able to sit stationary for significant periods of time.
