Human Resources Coordinator, Salary: $45,133 per year, USC Aiken Human Resources
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator will assist the Director and Assistant Director in coordinating the following areas of HR for USC Aiken: Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment. Coordinator will perform general HR support as well. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 1 years related human resources experience; Must be able to drive to Columbia or other locations for meetings and training. Preferred Requirements: 2 or more years of HR experience in classification/compensation and/or recruitment in a higher education setting. Additional skills, knowledge and abilities: Considerable knowledge of classification, compensation, and recruitment processes; general knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management; must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) and competent in spreadsheet and database management software packages as well; excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills are required; occasionally, overtime may also be required; must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service; and must be able to demonstrate patience in dealing with people. Aids the Dir/Asst. Dir in assisting hiring managers with position descriptions as needed when ADRs, vacancies, reclassifications, etc., arise.

Dir coach and guide hiring managers in the processes using the online (PeopleAdmin) applicant system and provides guidance from application review to the completion of hiring process. Aids in reviewing finalist applications for each posting to ensure they meet minimum qualifications. Drafts salary review for classified finalists for HR Director’s review. Assist HR Director in submitting HAM and initial hiring proposals to Columbia for approval prior to offers being made.
