University of Tampa is Hiring an Assistant Director, Annual Giving Near Tampa, FL

Position Details
The Office of Development and University Relations at The University of Tampa has an opening for an Assistant Director of Annual Giving. Under the direction of the Director of Annual Giving, this position is responsible for identification, cultivation, solicitation of lead annual gift prospects. Other duties include assisting with direct mail and e-mail solicitation efforts, providing support for the faculty staff campaign, and helping support UT Give Day. Occasional regional travel, and ability to work weekends and evenings is required.
Responsibilities
1. Identify potential lead annual gift prospects through prospect research, giving patterns, and discovery, and face-to-face calls.
2. Manage a portfolio of qualified prospects and make solicitations at the leadership annual gift level, and Minaret Society level ($2,500).
3. Oversee the text to give program to help increase donor and alumni engagement.
4. Develop appropriate individual and institutional cultivation strategies, solicit input from key leadership stakeholders internal and external. Implement and support cultivation activities.
5. Work collaboratively with the alumni and development teams to help build programs to increase alumni giving.
6. Assist with the planning, marketing, and execution of UT Give Day, and lead the social media ambassadors program and social media strategy.
7. Regularly update the development website with engaging and relevant content.
8. Assist other areas on campus with fundraising efforts as needed.
9. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. 2-3 years external relations or similar experience, with a preference for non-profit or fundraising experience.
3. Proficient computer skills required, particularly in using donor databases. (Raiser's Edge NXT ideal)
4. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
5. Experience managing the roll out of a robust text to give platform. (Mongoose Cadence ideal)
6. Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, website design, and social media preferred.
7. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
8. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
