QualificationsMinimum Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in safety or safety program implementation, environmental compliance, laboratory safety, or regulatory compliance program support.
- A master’s degree in health physics, nuclear engineering, safety or related area could substitute 2 years of work experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment visa status
- Must have ability to perform physical aspects of the job including lifting, carrying, and stooping.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to obtain information, explain procedures and situations, and persuade others to address compliance related deficiencies or regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on work assignments with minimal direction or as a team member to reach desired outcome.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn applicable regulations, guidance documents, and institutional policies and apply these standards to provide guidance on research safety taking into consideration factors such as regulatory scope, hazards, and best management practices.
