Job Summary
Position Description
The Hobson Wildenthal Honors College (HWHC) at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Political Science. The appointee will be expected to teach multiple sections of 'State and Local Government' and other courses as needed or in their specific area of expertise.
The appointment commences for the fall 2024 semester.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: A PhD from one of a broad range of social science and policy disciplines; those with ABD status will be considered at the application/interviewing stage. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
The Hobson Wildenthal Honors College
Established in 2014, the HWHC houses multiple programs dedicated to promoting excellence in undergraduate education. Four of these programs offer a four-year cohort experience to participating students.
