Job Summary:
Position possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the standards for professional practice in accordance with ARRT. Practice is characterized by a balance of dependent and interdependent decision making. Position competently functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Major Responsibilities / Duties / Critical Tasks:
* Responsible for providing technical expertise in performance of diagnostic radiology and CT procedures.
* Operates Radiologic equipment for image production and documentation of images. Performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images and prepares patients' images for interpretation by radiologist.
* Provides guidance and direction to other radiologic personnel when required.
* Accountable for the identification and reduction of unsafe practices that could harm patients.
* Other duties as assigned.
Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
* Ability to navigate EPIC and Pacs
* Competent in required radiologic exams per ordering physician requirements.
* Skilled in direct patient care.
* Ability to communicate with patients and families regarding exams.
Required Education / Experience:
* Graduate from an Accredited School with degree in Radiologic Technology
Required Certification / Licenses:
* Licensed through ARRT for Radiology, and preferred CT
* Licensed through the Texas Medical Board
* Current on CPR/Heartsaver Certification
