University of Texas M.D. Anderson is Hiring an Imaging Research Specialist -TMI Near Houston, TX

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Quantitative Imaging Analysis Core in Quantitative Imaging analytics and to provide imaging analytics support to investigators.

Data Collection and Annotation

Responsible for assessment & collection of quantitative data; viewing, locating, measuring, labeling and contouring lesions and determining baseline and follow-up measurements, metastatic disease. Responsible for running calculations of scores to evaluate the consistency and quality of annotations (e.g. Dice) performed by self and others.

Image workflow

Responsible for image processing including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, and other related activities into TMI directory for further review/analyses, including conducts user acceptance testing (UAT).

Coordination Coordinates, documents and maintains all interpretations performed on clinical trial data and assists in the organization, tabulation and analysis of data under the general supervision of management and/or Faculty leadership.

Troubleshooting

Proactively collaborates with faculty and staff across multiple departments in the Institution to resolve issues/identify solutions; requiring strong problem solving and analytical skills focused on results. Works with physicians to address any discrepancies related to image findings and annotations.

Other duties as assigned

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Medical Imaging or related field.

Preferred Education: Master's Level Degree

Experience Required: One year experience in medical imaging or medical sciences.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with imaging aspects of clinical trials; Familiarity with oncology image-based tumor response criteria. Experience using RayStation annotation software.
