Number of Vacancies: 1 The Athletic Trainer assists the Associate Director for Sports Medicine in supporting the management, coordination and administration of all aspects of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation for all student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. The Athletic Trainer assists in providing holistic health care, wellness education and counseling for student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer assists in developing and monitoring policies and procedures regarding athletics related medical insurance, pre-participation physical examinations, medical services and related activities to ensure the University has a comprehensive health care plan for student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer assists in managing mandated concussion management, sickle cell, drug testing, and acclimation to sport protocols, consistent with NCAA and East Coast Conference regulations. The Athletic Trainer assists in the allocation of medical care resources to support an NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic program for 10 men’s and women’s sports.
