Position Details

Administer grant proposal process for the Pathology Department, including internal and external collaborators to deliver applications of the highest quality on time to meet Sponsors' submission deadlines. Provide comprehensive advice and input to investigators during the proposal development process and throughout the awarded grant life cycle, identify and recommend funding opportunities to Department faculty, and assist with plans for future grant submissions. Coordinate and administer multiple research projects, in collaboration with SPA and the RPO involving grant and protocol preparation, budget preparation, regulatory tracking and reporting to local institutional committees and external sponsors.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three to five years of research experience to include grant management required. Effective interpersonal communication, computer skills, and data management required.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with University processes and systems highly desirable. Clinical research coordinator and basic laboratory experience highly desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range 42,000-$52,000 Other Information Special Conditions Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position FLSA Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU ($20 minimum hourly rate)
