Lead a team of RNs and Medical Assistants
Work in close partnership with our Clinic Manager
Provide care to pediatric patients DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION ThePediatrics Clinicprovides comprehensive primary and specialty care for babies, children, teenagers, and young adults to age 21. Our services include well-child checkups, developmental screenings, acute illness treatment, school and sports evaluations, environmental health consults, guidance on behavioral concerns, and hearing and vision screenings. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes and maintains credibility as leader of day-to-day operations of the clinic
Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions
Promotes effective communication among staff and patients
Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps towards a resolution
Leads the hiring processes for medical assistants and RNs
Implements and manages orientation and educational programs for staff
Schedules staff work hours
Resolves unplanned absences, following Ambulatory Services Resource Pool Protocols
Develops, coordinates, and maintains work processes to ensure the clinics run successfully
Provides expert pediatric nursing assessments, assists with phone triage, and educates patients and their families
Establishes and maintains safety and emergency protocols for the clinic REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of pediatric nursing experience
Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
