We offer a variety of minimally invasive treatment options, including the da Vinci Si Robotic Surgical System. Our board-certified surgeons have extensive experience and a track record of surgical excellence, and every service we provide is personalized to fit each patient's unique needs. The Medical Assistant will support a broad range of surgical patients, providing the highest level of patient care possible. WORK SCHEDULE: The Medical Assistant will work Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. There are no weekend or holiday responsibilities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
Perform injections
Prepare and clean exam rooms
Submit medication prior authorizations
Recognizes symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately reports to provider
Acts as a liaison between patient, patients family and providers
Assists provider with procedures and medical exams
Performs point of care testing and reports abnormal laboratory values
Assists in transporting patients as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board
Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
