University of Wisconsin–Madison is Hiring a Clinical Research Site Manager Near Madison, WI

Job Summary:

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) is seeking a Clinical Research Site Manager to support oncology clinical research at the new UW Health Eastpark Medical Center (EMC), opening for patient care in Fall 2024. This role is crucial for maintaining high-level operations at our new location.

The Clinical Research Site Manager will work collaboratively with research teams, administration, investigators, support services, and clinical partners. As a member of the UWCCC Clinical Research Central Office (CRCO), the Site Manager will report to the Senior Clinical Research Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Study Visit Preparation: Ensure all necessary materials, such as lab kits, are prepared and available for study visits, managing the logistics and readiness of research supplies at EMC.
  • Supervise On-Site Support: Lead and supervise the on-site support provided to clinical research staff and healthcare providers at EMC, ensuring smooth execution of clinical trials.
  • Develop and Implement Operational Workflows: Create, implement, and monitor operational workflows specific to EMC, enhancing efficiency and consistency in research operations.
  • Primary Site Contact: Act as the main CRCO contact within EMC, coordinating communication and operational activities among on-site teams and between EMC and the central office.
  • Ensure Study Visit Coverage: Oversee and ensure adequate coverage for study visits, stepping in to provide direct support as needed.
  • Coordinate Resource Logistics: Manage the transportation and availability of research materials and resources from the University Hospital to EMC, ensuring seamless operations and resource availability at EMC.

Responsibilities:

Plans, analyzes, manages, coordinates, and tracks projects and quality improvement efforts for processes, procedures, and systems. Provides management consulting to improve organizational results.
  • 20% Develops, schedules, coordinates, and prioritizes project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations
  • 30% Develops, enhances, and maintains operational standards and systems to support project teams
  • 10% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions
  • 25% Serves as the initial point of contact for the project(s), serves on committees, and attends meetings representing the interests of the project(s)
  • 15% Provides back-up clinical research coordination coverage to oncology clinical research teams as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years' experience in oncology clinical research required.
Experience as an oncology clinical research coordinator preferred.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
