University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for an Abstractor / Patient Service Representative (PSR) for UNIVERSITY PULMONARY & CRITICAL CARE, a specialty office located within the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

Job duties include:

• Enter abstracted data- important diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment data from medical records into electronic health record
• Prepare medical charts
• Scanning health records into EMR
• Works well with provider and staff
• Greet patients in friendly and timely manner
• Answer phones in a timely manner
• Refers patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to medical assistant or physician
• Schedules patients with appropriate physician
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Clinical background experience with medical terminology and ICD-10
• 6 months to 1-year previous medical office experience
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate.
