Unlimited Bounds is Hiring a Human Resources Intern Near Baltimore, MD

Unlimited Bounds Human Services is a CARF accredited provider of ASAM Level 2.5-Partial Hospitalization Program; ASAM Level 2.1-Intensive Outpatient Program; ASAM Level 1-Outpatient Program; Outpatient Mental Health Services (OMHC); and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP).

We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources (HR) Intern to join our team and provide invaluable support to our HR department. The role will involve performing a variety of administrative tasks, including updating employee records, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.

This internship is unpaid however, it offers an excellent opportunity to gain firsthand experience in HR operations and gain insight into our company’s approach to payroll, recruiting, and employee development.

As an HR Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our HR policies and procedures. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be utilized in maintaining accurate employee records and assisting with various HR-related activities.

Additionally, you will have the chance to contribute to the coordination of company events and gain exposure to different facets of HR management.

To foster the best learning experience for our Intern, the position will beon site at the Unlimited Bounds Corporate Officelocated at 4200 Pennington Avenue, Curtis Bay, Maryland 21226(free parking available)!

The Human Resources Internship is intended to be apart-time position; however, the specific days and hours can be determined based on the scheduling requirements of the individual hired.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  • Gather payroll data, working hours and direct deposit accounts
  • Screen resumes and application forms
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
  • Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed (like Relias training )
  • Address employee queries about benefits (like number of remaining vacation days)
  • Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies
  • Participate in organizing company events and careers days

Role Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience as a Staff Assistantor similar junior HR role is a plus
  • Familiarity with HRIS and resume databases
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Good understanding of full-cycle recruiting
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation
  • Organizational skills
  • BSc in Human Resources Management or similar field

Essential Functions:

  • The functions our Intern will perform within our applicant tracking system include but will not be limited to: Entering job opportunities, updating candidate dispositions, entering and updating new hire information, personnel file audits, and updating current employee information.
  • Provide assistance with the following: Moving new hires through the necessary steps of our Onboarding process including checking references, creating new hire folders, preparing for New Hire Orientation, communication via phone and email, and organizing and running Monthly All Staff Meetings.
  • Our Intern may perform research on various human resource related topics, as requested.
  • May be asked to complete other human resource administrative tasks relating to recruiting and benefits, as requested.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must be in the process of obtaining a 4-year college degree, preferably within Human Resources or a Business-related discipline.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat software, Google Suite, and Canva
  • Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to stay on task and be highly dependable.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive Human Resource information.
  • Must be willing to submit references as well as complete necessary pre-employment checks.
