Department SummaryUnder the Office of Educational Programs (OEP), TCOM Faculty Development Center works in collaboration with colleagues to plan and present a variety of programs. Our goal is to improve medical education by providing enhanced academic skills and understanding of educational processes to individual faculty, departments, and residency programs.
Position OverviewThe Educational Program Manager will assist with the development of educational activities for the center. The Educational Program Manager will present at seminars and conferences within the educational offerings of the Center. These include: On-demand sessions are requested by various residency programs and medical school departments. Presentations in the Graduate Certificate in Academic Medicine program. One-on-one consultation with trainees regarding professional development. This position reports to the Director of the TCOM Faculty Development Center within the TCOM Office of Educational Programs.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesEducational design, curriculum development, adult learning principles, writing skills, communication skills, collaborative mindset, analytical skills, project management, assessment knowledge, presentation skills, application of clinical knowledge, MS office competence, and simulation best practices.
Preferred QualificationsThe preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Masters or higher are preferred. Experience designing, implementing, and presenting/teaching curricula online. Canvas experience, or other learning management system(s). Experience developing the presentation skills of others. Experience presenting scholarly work and collaboration at state and national levels is strongly preferred. Microsoft Office experience.
Required License/Registration/CertificationsJob Duties:
  • The Educational Program Manager will manage educational offerings of the center to include learning management systems (i.e., Canvas).
  • Design, implement and present/teach online curricula.
  • Assist with development of educational activities for the center.
  • Assist with trainee recruitment and training promotion.
  • Work closely with the Director on program development and evaluation.
  • Present at seminars and conferences within the educational offerings of the Center. These include on-demand sessions requested by various residency programs and medical school departments. Presentations in the Graduate Certificate in Academic Medicine program. One-on-one consultation with trainees regarding curriculum design.
  • Assist with trainee recruitment and training promotion.
  • Present/ teach research and scholarly activities.
Work ScheduleMonday- Friday 8am- 5pm (Hybrid schedule available with approval)
