Medical assisting duties include patient triage, vital signs, patient history, procedure, test and appointment scheduling
Responsibilities: Obtains medical history, triage patients, record vitals.
Obtains patient medication list.
Responds timely phone calls and inquiries.
Surgery and test scheduling.
Responsible for paging out prescription requests to physician extender as needed.
Reports any abnormal results to physician immediately (i.e. xray, labs, etc.)
Maintains clean exam rooms.
Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Adheres to organizational policy and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
Minimum two years of working in a medical facility/practice as a medical assistant
CCMA, CMA, CNA or RMA certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification through proctored exam provided after 90 days of permanent full-time employment.

Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures.

Skill in performing medical assistance task appropriately.
