Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the UofL Health intranet and internal communication tools. Supports content creation. Helps UofL Health employees and providers stay informed and connected to the organization. Supports the internal communications initiatives of UofL Health. Supports the organizations culture through consistent and concise communications strategies that sustain UofL Healths mission.

Responsibilities:

Account Management:

Build positive relationships with assigned departments, service lines, physician practices, administrative departments marketing partners, promoting respect, collaboration and confidence in UofL Health, its brand and the Marketing and Communication Department.

Serve as the Key Liaison between assigned product lines, practices, departments and providers and the Marketing and Communications Department. This may be internal departments, or hospitals and service lines.

  • Attend Faculty/Departmental Meetings
  • Build/Maintain Relationships with Executive Directors/Division Chiefs
  • When requested, act as a back up to the Public Relations department in the creation of press releases, management of Media, act as a liaison between media and leaders, doctors, team members and setting up and managing media events.
  • Support the organization-wide marketing and communication strategies.
  • Contribute content for UofL Health website properties as appropriate.
  • Support overall community relations strategies. For example: health fairs, lunch and learns and speaking engagements.
  • When requested, edit departmental materials including collateral materials, advertisements and other printed materials utilizing the standards set by the UofL Health Stylebook and the AP Stylebook.
  • Ensure the UofL Healths name, branding, mission, and vision are properly communicated in all materials, maintaining corporate integrity. Uphold the standards outlined in the Graphic Standards Manual for all materials.
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to always maintain confidentiality.

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in communications, writing or marketing required. Masters degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience required in advertising, marketing, event planning and public relations. Health care experience preferred.
