Job Title: RN, ER DepartmentWe are Hiring in the Emergency Department at Medical Center Southwest-UofL HealthLocation: 9700 Stonestreet Road, Louisville, KY 40272Shift Options: Full-Time, 7p-7aAbout UsUofL Health – Medical Center Southwest opened in 2007 to provide outpatient and emergency care services to the medically underserved area of southwest Jefferson County. The medical center offers patients in the Valley Station, Prairie Village, and Waverly Hills communities an array of critical health services including 24/7 emergency care, diagnostic and medical imaging, laboratory services and UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute outpatient rehab services.Our MissionAs an academic health care system, we will transform the health of the communities we serve through compassionate, innovative, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Job SummaryAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needsCollaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patientsAdministering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ ordersFostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
  • Associates’s degree from accredited college or University

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University
