We are currently seeking a BILINGUAL Cooking Production Lead for our second shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.) This person is responsible for the cooking room team and manages gummy production. They will work directly under the Production Manager and with the Processing and Batching leads to meet the gummy production schedule.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Read and follow Production Orders to determine the day’s production schedule.
• Operate Kettles and Gummy Depositor to successfully cook gummy products according to specifications.
• Ensure correct active ingredients are used according to Production Orders.
• Record lot numbers and measurements of all ingredients used.
• Manage the cooking process and cook team to ensure food processing safety and sanitation requirements are met.
• Train new members of the cooking team.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of kettles and depositor and escalate major issues to the Maintenance Technician.
• When product changeovers are required, disassemble and clean equipment according to procedures to prevent cross contamination.
• Ensure end of day cleaning and maintenance is complete and logged.
• Prep cooking area for following day’s production schedule.
• Communicate quality issues directly with the Production Manager.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Bilingual required
• Excellent cross-departmental communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.
• Ability to follow step by step written instructions with a fine attention to detail.
• Time management and scheduling skills (i.e. knowing when to send team members to lunch).
• Basic knowledge of food safety principles.

Education and Experience

Gummy cooking and production experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
