Upland Brewing is seeking an Maintenance Assistant to help preserve and maintain our Bloomington Brew Pub location.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for general property maintenance. Inspect grounds, buildings, and equipment to identify any issues. Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend maintenance operations. 
• Maintain grounds and complete repairs of buildings and equipment as needed and directed.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance and cleaning procedures. 

• Plan and schedule repairs; be present with outside vendors performing maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry. 
• Put together furniture and equipment.

• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies. 
• Monitor appearance and upkeep of properties on a continual basis.
• Assist in inspecting, monitoring, and documenting all work being performed by vendors.
• Responsible for alerting General Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur. Report safety issues immediately and recommend solutions. 
• Ensure safe and proper storage of all supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment. Ensure tools and equipment are in optimum condition.
• Be ready to respond immediately to emergency situations and concerns.

Maintenance Technician Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification. 
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. 

• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques. 
• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings. 
• Effective problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
