UPMC Horizon - Greenville is hiring a General Maintenance 2 - HVAC/Service Tech to join the Facilities Team! This full-time role will work 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. shifts. On call, weekend rotation, and working off shifts and holidays is required. Travel to support UPMC Horizon-Shenango Valley, as needed, could be required for the role.

Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects level of education, experience and manager discretion at time of offer.

General Maintenance 2 - HVAC/Service Tech:

• General Maintenance 2-HVAC/Service Tech salary range $20.05-$32.13per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain/prepare job site/shop.
• Clean, paint, and maintain mechanical and plant rooms/centers.
• Minor preventive maintenance of chillers, boilers and cooling towers.
• Filter changes in air handlers, terminal devices and fan coils.
• Clean coils and equipment.

 Journeyman 1 - Service Technician: 

• Journeyman 1-ServiceTechnician salary range $24.48-$42.46 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Inspect all facilities specific mechanical air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment to identify possible deficiencies and/or malfunctions. Inspect mechanical devices and makes any necessary repairs or corrections.
• Interpret all information gathered from blueprints, instruction books and sketches to maintain all equipment. Ensure all equipment is kept in efficient working order and operated in a safe manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. Maintain assigned mechanical area. Fabricate and maintain ICRA consistent with UPMC policy and standards.
• Perform all work following infection control procedures. Complete and records work orders; submits hours to supervisor on a daily basis.
• Perform preventive maintenance and take proactive steps to ensure equipment is properly maintained. Check meters, gauges, signal lights and other warning devices for possible problems and makes necessary corrections.
• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. Performs all duties as assigned.

Journeyman 2 - Service Technician:

• Journeyman 2-Service Technician salary range $26.38-$45.24 per hour.

• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
