Job Description

DIRECT HIRE machine operator positions, 1st shift 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday.

MUST KNOW HOW TO USE CALIPERS AND MICROMETERS.

Responsibilities:

  • Help prepare machinery and equipment for operation by setting up components, tools, and materials according to instructions provided by the machine operator or supervisor.
  • Aid machine operators in operating equipment by performing tasks such as loading materials, feeding components into machinery, and monitoring the production process to ensure smooth operation.
  • Inspect finished products to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications, reporting any defects or issues to the machine operator or supervisor promptly.
  • Assist in cleaning machinery and work areas regularly to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Notify maintenance staff of any mechanical problems or abnormalities observed during operation.
  • Manage raw materials and finished products by transporting them to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and participate in safety training as required.
  • Record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any quality issues encountered, accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain production logs and reports as directed.
  • Collaborate effectively with machine operators, supervisors, and other team members to achieve production targets and resolve any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
