Reporting Relationships
- Reports directly to the building Principal
- Works cooperatively with other administrators, supervisors, staff, parents and students to perform job responsibilities as outlined
- As outlined in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Salary (step/level placement) & Benefits are as described in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Experience working with students with complex learning needs.
- Experience planning transition activities to support post-secondary goals.
- Follow a continuous program of curriculum development.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
- Use relevant technology, AAC, and materials to support and differentiate instruction.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Prepare classroom for class activities.
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
- Be aware of new materials, methodologies, philosophies, and innovation, using those which suit the needs of the individual student.
- Assist in planning student activities, community-based instruction, and work-based learning.
- Attend required meetings and complete required reports.
- Consult with parents and other involved personnel concerning each student’s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development and outside agency support
- Create and maintain an environment conducive to learning.

- Bachelor’s degree with valid PA certification
- Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research
- Proficiency in presentation of technology to enhance small and large student group information & demonstration sessions.
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with professional contacts
