Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs all custodial duties, as required.
- Coordinate the work of building custodians and provide training as necessary
- Communicate and provide feedback to management
- Coordinate and run building operations leadership team meetings and walkthroughs monthly
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, related to cleaning/chemicals, processes and procedures.
- Prepare work schedules, arrange for additional staffing when needed, and review and verify time and absence reports.
- Assist in conducting fire and safety drills, respond to building emergencies and report vandalism.
- Conduct periodic and monthly inspections of building, grounds, equipment, and materials as required by the DHS, warranties, or legal guidelines.
- Maintain an inventory of materials and supplies, recommend purchases and assist in preparing requisitions and specifications.
- Verify and report contractor work authorizations/orders and inspect work and deliveries prior to signing receipts or work orders.
- Coordinate and assist in snow removal.
- Oversee/coordinate housekeeping requirements for special events.
- Maintain work records and prepare reports as directed.
- Create a positive, collaborative, customer service environment and work well with others.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Five (5) years experience in custodial services. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Ability to push, pull and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Work Capacity Evaluation required
- Note to staff members in the head custodian and custodian classification: In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, any custodial staff member interested in this position or any subsequent vacant positions must submit an application for this posting.
