Sales | Field Representative for Solar Outreach
The Field Representative for Solar Outreach will be part of Uprise's growing outreach team, working to reach all neighborhoods in the District and sign up residents for solar, primarily through door-to-door canvassing. Canvassers are expected to set one to two appointments per day, aiming for 10 per week, and will build the processes, content, and systems to help achieve these goals. This role may also involve talking to residents outside libraries or attending local neighborhood meetings.
While Uprise is well established in the District, you will be joining a new team. As such, you will have the opportunity to work with the team lead and teammates to help set up, manage, and train others on utilizing various apps and tools to accurately track your team’s work and engage with your supervisors. This role requires a high degree of collaboration with team members to achieve outreach goals.
Work hours will revolve around what gets the best results and can include weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends. Actual work schedules are flexible and can accommodate class schedules or other commitments. This position reports to the Solar
Outreach Team Lead and collaborates daily with the Sales team.
About You
We do not expect you to already know solar. We do expect you to have a track record of having quality conversations with the public that can convert to setting up solar consultations. This could be in issue campaigns, political organizing, or sales for a different trade. Qualified candidates will have some experience of canvassing campaigns or community outreach, but any candidate who shows the right attitude and
aptitude will be considered.
This position requires a form of reliable transportation to get to and from different work locations. If you plan to drive your personal vehicle on behalf of Uprise, you will need to have a valid driver's license in the state of your residence. Gas cards may be provided.
This role requires that you work well independently and in a team. It also requires you to exercise good judgment and work harder than the rest to meet your canvassing goals. Above all, you can contribute to and grow within a team with core values focused on
