Uprite Construction is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Irvine, CA

Vertex is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, focusing on grading, while knowledge of shoring and demolition is advantageous. This role demands precision, diligence, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
  • Be responsible for timely completion of all stages of the estimating process including pre-construction, bidding, and post-construction phases.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Analyze subcontractor proposals and assist in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
  • Monitor and review project progress to ensure accuracy and adherence to set budgets.
  • Attend bid meetings and project walk-throughs, offering clear communication of strategies and assumptions used in estimates.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and standards.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator with specific expertise in grading.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in shoring and demolition projects.
  • Certifications relevant to construction estimating.

What We'll Provide:

  • The annual rate for this role is $106,000-$143,000 based on the experience you bring.
