Purpose and Scope of Role:
This position maintains accurate, timely, and complete financial records for all transactions from supplier to customer, using effective systems for each line of business. Responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and maintaining adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies, this role provides financial support for business decision-making and innovative planning to maximize long-term profits. You will appraise results in terms of costs, budgets, operational policies, trends, and drive increased profit opportunities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure sound internal controls in these operations and alignment with financial policies and objectives.
- Provide effective financial advice to Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to help deliver their business objectives by identifying and driving key financial opportunities.
- Perform gross margin analysis, labor and overhead cost analysis, and product/process cost optimization to enhance profitability.
- Oversee the annual manufacturing budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term objectives, evaluating organizational structure, and assessing staffing requirements for the manufacturing teams.
- Review and maintain cost standards, including periodic cost rolls and annual updates, ensuring consistent methodology and identifying key factors driving changes.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Review and report on manufacturing variances (PPV, POV) and absorption analysis.
- Prepare various journal entries, review month-end balance sheets, ensure timely and accurate monthly assessments and settlements, and run and reconcile reports.
- Participate in and lead special projects, including capital effectiveness initiatives, restructuring efforts, and sourcing projects, to drive financial improvements.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting; Master’s in Business Administration, CA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- Minimum (5) years of relevant experience in manufacturing finance and accounting, including standard cost setting and variance analysis.
- Strong background in SAP and ERP system implementations.
- Experience in establishing internal controls and supporting SOX compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and provide actionable insights from financial data.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
