In this role the candidate will oversee the day to day operation of the core laboratory. This will include the management of the laboratory, quality assurance and quality control of the lab instrumentation.

The candidate will assist with training new employees, scheduling tests and keeping to strict turn around times to ensure the lab is meeting client goals. The candidate will also supervise the lab ordering and perform lot to lot verification for new reagents to ensure result accuracy.

The candidate should have knowledge of NYSDOH standards to ensure lab compliance as well as some experience with lab inspections and CLIA requirements. This position is a hands on, direct lab position. The candidate will assist lab techs with processing samples durning busy periods, assist with result reporting and answer physician questions about test results.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and current NYS license and registration required. Six years of clinical laboratory experience or equivalent required. Requires excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills as well as investigative and analytical thinking
