Job DescriptionPosition Summary:We are currently hiring a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our OBGYN department.. The Patient Service Presentative provides information, support, encouragement, and assistance to patients and families as they arrive at the health care facility. This role greets and registers patients and visitors, verifies and records patient information, and provides comfort and empathy to patients while maintaining the waiting room. This role provides accurate and consistent information to patients, schedule appointments, and resolves patient concerns.
Minimum Qualifications
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:This position is based out of the Bronx. The work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with rotating Saturday shifts.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- 1-2 years of admin experience, working front desk or related experience.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures.
- Greets patients and identifies their needs.
- Verifies insurance information through insurance company via phone and/or through managed care plan websites.
- Answers incoming calls and takes messages for providers.
- Registers and enrolls patients, checks demographic information, updates information as needed.
- Schedules appointments and takes calls for patients who seek to speak with a provider.
- Helps to maintain charts and provides administrative support to the department.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
