es include: * Daily supervision and evaluation of after school staff and volunteers * Directs daily activity schedule of the after school program * Establishing curriculum based activities and ensuring staff follow through * Making sure there is designated time and support for students to complete homework as needed, and to track task completed daily * Communicate program needs and supply request when needed * Assist with planning and implementing staff trainings and meetings as appropriate * Maintain superior communicating with staff, volunteers and parents * Ensure the safety and wellbeing of after school participants by providing high quality risk management at all times * Act as the liaison and point person with school Principal and other school personnel * Enruse school snacks are distributed, recorded and accounted for on a daily basis * Making sure aftercare spaces are safe, clean and well maintained * Complete daily attendance records and communicate any issues with supervisor or families when needed * Coordinate weekly check-in with the teams, including bi-weekly supervision with staff * Other duties as assigned *KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:* *Knowledge Of:* * Basic subjects taught in District schools, including arithmetic, grammar, spelling, language, and reading. * Safe practices in classroom and playground activities. * Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary. * Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. * Basic record-keeping techniques. *Ability To:* * Communicate and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and the public including members of ethnic communities. * Perform routine clerical duties in support of classroom activities. * Print and write legibly. * Add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately. * Understand and follow oral and written directions. * Learn procedures, functions and limitations of assigned duties. * Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. * Learn to apply and explain policies and procedures related to school and program activities. * Work cooperatively with others. * Monitor, observe and report student behavior according to approved policies and procedures. * Operate instructional and office equipment, i.e. computers. * Teach basic skills of various sports, with training. *Physical Demands:* * Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. * Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. * Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. * Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. * Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds. *Educations and Experience:* * Associates Degree Preferred * Three years experience in working with children in an organized setting * Prior supervisory or management experience * Ability to develop and execute lesson plans * Knowledge and skills to utilize electronic database and use of MS Office *License and Other Requirements:* * PA Child Abuse Clearance * PA Criminal Background Check * Mandated Child Abuse Training * FBI Clearance * First Aid & CPR Certification (preferred) * Willingness to obtain additional trainings or certificates required by the organization or district, when needed Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Schedule: * 4 hour shift * Monday to Friday Application Question(s): * Do you have any skills you can offer the students, ie. (STEM, Computer, Gardening, Arts and Crafts, Sports & Athletics, etc.) * Are there any days or times you are unavailable to work? * Do you have any prior Supervisory or Management experience. * The job would require you to report at 2:30pm until 6:00pm, Monday through Friday, and as early as 11:45am on early dismissal days.
