Urgent Care Group (UCG) is a growing healthcare network operating more than 57 urgent care centers in six states. Through acquisition and de novo growth, we are developing new centers by partnering with leading urgent care providers and health systems.

The Patient Account Representative will communicate with patients regarding insurance processing, balances due and payments arrangements.

Location: This role is based at Total Access Urgent Care, Town & Country site, located at 13861 Manchester Road, St. Louis, MO 63011

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with the opportunity for overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answers patient questions regarding insurance processing, balances due and payment arrangements via email and phone
• Process payments on balances due through various collections programs
• Conducts auditing for patient accounts and collections accounts
• Investigates missing or incomplete documentation to meet billing requirements
• Notes patients accounts regarding discussions with patients
• Negotiates deadlines or payment plans when necessary
• Works multiple manual spreadsheets during phone downtime and between patient calls

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn collections related systems, and similar computer applications
• Prior related office experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
• High school diploma or equivalent required
