About The Role

The Event Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for aiding the development, coordination and implementation of marketing assets for events across our suite of digital and in-person programs for our client's proprietary events. Marketing and communication plans are developed for a range of audiences, with marketing assets created to help drive audience acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.

Marketing and communication plans include launch activities and integrated campaigns including digital communications, sales enablement, social media (paid/organic), advertising, direct mail, blogs, user forums, web, digital and in person booths, and more. The Marcom Manager would help in the execution and delivery of marketing assets across these channels with an integrated and meaningful approach.

The Event Marketing Communications Manager serves as a bridge between the event stakeholders, creative services, digital, product marketing, customer marketing, field marketing and demand generation teams. You are responsible for navigating the marketing and communications for an event across all channels, including creation of assets as necessary, as well as managing the necessary approvals across stakeholders. Support of relevant sales initiatives, including the creation of resources, are key to the success of this role.

The Event Marketing Communications Manager would also help bring our client's events and brand to life on social media, with an emphasis on X and LinkedIn. You'll partner with the creative team and agency support to help coordinate the content calendar across our events for organic, paid, and employee social campaigns to drive registration, awareness, and engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate and support Event Strategy and Marketing Communication team, partnering across the marketing and sales organization to aid in the organization, development and implementation of marketing campaigns and communications.

  • Work closely with other Event Marcom Managers and Event Strategists to establish communications objectives and strategy. Support and execute marketing tactics while meeting timelines and deadlines, and measuring effectiveness of efforts.

  • Create and maintain a robust and multi-channel communication plan.

  • Support the event program leads with marketing and communications support, while integrating into various marketing campaigns across the organization.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop the overarching messaging and demand generation strategy.

  • Manage event marketing and demand generation deliverables, including the website, email campaign, website banners, internal communications campaign, social media campaign (with support), and other outreach channels.

  • Provide content and design direction to copywriter for the website and all demand generation deliverables while managing the review and approval process with SMEs, stakeholders, and guest speaker talent.

  • Target multiple audiences pre, during, and post event with tailored communications and content, collaborating with the necessary teams to facilitate creation, review, and launch of assets. Align and integrate messaging across a variety of channels and programs.

  • Manage the relationship and collaborate with PMO, Marketing Automation, creative and copywriting teams on execution of all deliverables.

  • Ensure campaign audience profiles are set up correctly.

  • Collaborate with Global Integrated Marketing on email scheduling and list development.

  • Manage Marcom Timeline and Deliverables and ensure it is accurate and up to date.

  • Provide weekly progress updates and maintain event Marcom deck.

  • Assist team on other projects as directed including measurement, surveys, attendee journeys, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10 years Marketing/Marketing Communications experience required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Deep understanding of marketing channels, sales enablement, and social media platforms

  • Ability to partner with program owners, creative, and more to develop content, integrated campaign plans, and reporting.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a data driven mindset.

  • Able to take initiative in problem solving and decision-making.

  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Google Suite; Knowledge of marketing tools such as Marketo, SalesSpot, Workfront, SFDC, Tableau and other systems such as event technology platform Rainfocus.
