US Engine Valve is Hiring a Quality Supervisor Near Seneca, SC

PRIMARY FUNCTION:This role ensures that all manufactured products meet or exceed customer expectations and Company Quality requirements.
The manager assumes a leadership role in reinforcing and adhering to established company quality standards and specifications, validating quality throughout the production process.
Supervise Quality Lab, gage control, and quality control audits of forging, rough machining, and finish end production for all products.
Supervise quality control auditors and finish end visual inspectors to ensure all products being shipped to customers meet and exceed customer quality expectations.
Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the USEV Quality Management System.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Comply with all safety procedures and company policies.
Focus on continuous improvements and on accomplishing departmental and plant goals.
Use metallurgical techniques to evaluate and identify quality problems.
Ensure all quality associates adhere to the USEV Quality Management System, specifically maintaining the Material Review Board (MRB) and Material Review Request (MRR) processes.
Supervises quality lab and quality control auditors by supplying decisions concerning audit rejections; b) arranging work schedules; c) completing annual reviews; d) providing training for updated quality procedures.
Supervises final inspection area by a) supplying quality decisions concerning rejectable or workable parts; b) assuring inspected parts are on time, in the correct packaging and prepared according to customer requirements; c) coordinate with production personnel to review product inventory so that there are no missed shipments.
Develops and maintains procedures for the control of all quality assurance records for the safe storage and the correct retention period for all quality records.
Cooperates with the Training Coordinate to develop and administer quality training programs including a) auditing procedures; b) quality control procedures; c) gage setup; d) reading blueprints.
Facilitates quality improvement teams and assists in the completion of quality improvement and preparation of quality presentations.
Cooperates with production and engineering to a) assure that quality standards are maintained when a process change is made; b) develop and implement corrective actions necessary for improving quality and cost savings; c) manage 2nd visual operations.
Manage all quality functions and adhere to inspection frequencies to assure all products conform to quality specifications.
Assist in directing Metallurgical area including receiving inspection of all engineering materials, destructive/non-destruction testing, in-process control and assessment of material condition, and development of operating parameters which ensure quality and consistency of material properties in outgoing product.
Other duties may be assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required, metallurgical or mechanical engineering preferred.
Knowledge of statistical process control methods.
Computer usage in the areas of word processing, database, spread sheet, and statistical analysis.
Knowledge of gaging techniques and blueprint reading.
Statistical usage - including methods of MSA, capability studies, problem solving techniques and sampling methods.
Ability to communicate and coordinate work activities to assure parts for shipments are ready.
