Job Title: Heavy rigging/Crane Operator
Location: High Point , NC
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: 1 st ; 6:00am-4:30pm (M-TH )
Position Overview: Join our team in High Point, NC and become a key player as a heavy rigging crane operator . You will be instrumental in fabricating and assembling essential modular mechanical components that adhere to our stringent quality standards . This role demands expertise in equipment setup, steel erection, blueprint interpretation, crane operating, and flying/rigging steel.Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Setup:
  • Take charge of machinery and equipment preparation for manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operates flawlessly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment when necessary.
  • Crane operating and flying/rigging steel.
  • Heavy rigging experience is required and operation of a 25-ton crane.
  • Steel Erection:
  • Safely and meticulously erect steel structures and components according to project specifications.
  • Skillfully weld, bolt, and secure steel elements with precision.
  • Verify the structural integrity of erected steel components through thorough inspections.
  • Blueprint Reading:
  • Master the art of interpreting technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Utilize blueprints as your guiding star for component fabrication and assembly.
  • Effectively communicate any blueprint discrepancies or issues to the team lead.
  • Welding:
  • Knowledge of welding is a plus, however, individuals will work closely with a dedicated welder on the team, therefore, deep understanding of how to weld and use of welding materials is not required. Experience and knowledge are preferred.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; a technical or trade school certification is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated experience in equipment setup, steel erection, blueprint interpretation, architectural walls, and welding within a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • Proficiency in handling various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Adeptness in working effectively within a team and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Sound knowledge of safety regulations and procedures pertinent to the manufacturing and construction industry.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and an innate ability to adapt to evolving project demands.
