ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Track materials for engineering changes and balance outs to ensure minimal obsolescence
- Responsible for scheduled cycle counting of raw material, components, and finished goods
- Assist in plant organization to determine and label locations for raw material, components, and packaging.
- Assist as required in plant activities to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
- Attend APQP meeting and kick off meetings for new jobs.
- EDI, E-mail, or fax release orders to vendors.
- Supports plant annual physical inventory activity
- Investigate and adjust negative inventories daily
- Perform all duties as requested by the Materials Manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
- Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEAssociate’s degree (A.k) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
