Serves as a member of the Legal and Litigation Support Team responsible for a variety of analytical and administrative assignments in direct support of AGC's attorney staff. Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge to plan and conduct functional support activities, such as: reviewing and analyzing a variety of legal documents; drafting responses to litigation inquiries; reviewing, identifying, and categorizing litigation records; and conducting legal research. Reports directly to a Legal and Litigation Support Team Manager (AGC-10).
Coordinates extensively with attorneys within the various practice areas, including planning and conducting studies, reviews, and evaluations of electronic evidence and litigation data. Conducts regular review, analysis, and evaluation of AGC litigation activities to ensure proper integration and conformance to FAA policy, completeness, and adequacy. Develops presentations and reports for varied internal and external audiences.
Independently plans time, establishes priorities, and manages available resources to accomplish projects and activities in support of litigation. Applies experience and comprehensive legal knowledge applicable to accomplish assignments. Plans, schedules, and conducts analyses/studies of proposed plans for accomplishing litigation activities. Determines from a programmatic perspective the viability, consistency, and accuracy of plans and projections and conducts reviews to determine resource levels required to achieve established goals in a sound and efficient manner.
Ensures litigation information/tracking systems comply with federal policy, rules, and regulations. Applies and adapts relevant concepts, methods, and procedures for project development and documentation activities for litigation support functions.
Initiates and participates in, the evaluation of litigation support program results, projects, cases, or processes, and prudently manages resources, personnel, and activities to achieve successful completion.
Participates and conducts regular and recurring training sessions for attorneys and other legal support staff in the operation of various support procedures and software applications.
Resolves most problems with minimal assistance from a manager or team lead and proactively recommends or develops solutions to resolve them.
Contacts are internal and external to the organization and agency. Acts as a point of contact to provide timely advice and guidance on the FAA and AGC policies, procedures, and systems. Develops and maintains professional working relationships with clients and staff to convey, obtain, and gather information.
Work is reviewed periodically to ensure policy compliance and alignment with organizational and program requirements. Work activities directly impact the mission, goals, and objectives of one or more organizational units and FAA LOBs/SOs.
