Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Security System Technical Specialist to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will hold overall responsibility for the programming, troubleshooting, start-up, and check-out of assigned installed projects including a variety of projects and customer support that vary in complexity. They are the technical support contact for our customer and are responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction with installed Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation Systems. This position provides after hours support of mission critical systems including weekends and holidays.

• Provide custom systems programming, systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.
• Configure and support a variety of security systems and equipment for assigned projects.
• Programs, tests, repairs, and services a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation. Colleague is key interface for the provision of technical support and training for the customer and as such is accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.
• Prepares databases and job-related programming for computer-based systems.
• Operates systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions.
• Plans for and responds to service outages and other issues. Maintains system security programs.
• Performs back up and back up maintenance. Conducts routine audits of systems and software.
• Consults with engineering and manufacturing support personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.
• Answer incoming support email and phone calls.
• Provide technical support to other colleagues both in our department and office.
• Provide administrative support to department supervisor.
• Ability to obtain and retain vendor (product) based certifications.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
