US Oral Surgery Management is Hiring a Procurement Manager Near Irving, TX

As a rapidly growing company, US Oral Surgery Management (USOSM) is seeking a Procurement Manager to manage daily procurement operations. In this role, the Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement processes and ensuring the efficient acquisition of supplies, equipment, and services for the organization. This role involves strategic planning, supplier management, and collaboration with various departments / field operations to ensure cost-effectiveness and high-quality standards within USOSM.

In this role, you will report to the Director of Procurement and Real Estate, while directly managing a procurement team.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing to secure value for Partner Practices
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the USOSM’s objectives and budget.
  • Oversee the inventory levels of dental supplies and implants, socializing inventory control best practices to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Analyze and monitor procurement budgets and expenditures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Manage risks associated with supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans.
  • Work closely with the field teams and departments to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of services, supplies and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and engage in workflow improvement for Field operations to maximize efficiency and value.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance. Prepare and present regular reports on procurement metrics and performance to senior management.
  • Train and mentor procurement staff to ensure a high level of competency and professionalism. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement.
  • Manages relationships with field support team and ensures best in-class response and action to Surgeon and Practice requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by members of management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Understanding of business and management principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to Travel – 10%

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related focus; and/or an equivalent combination of experience/training. MBA preferred.
  • Five (5) years of relevant procurement experience in a multi-unit enterprise.
  • Proven experience and proven success as a leader of a sourcing/contracting/purchasing function in a multi-unit enterprise.
  • Exceptional professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert-level knowledge and abilities within Procurement functions of purchasing and ERP applications

Work Environment/Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
