US United States Army Futures Command is Hiring an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT Near Adelphi, MD

Duties

  • Provide overall direction, coordination and management of all facets of administrative support applying relevant policies and regulations.
  • Provide calendar/meeting management and coordination for Office of the Director senior leadership.
  • Plan, organize, direct and control critical actions required by the ARL Director, CCDC, AFC, Department of Army and Department of Defense, ensuring appropriate priority, staffing, timeliness, coordination, accuracy, and approval.
  • Work successfully and effectively at every level of the internal ARL organization as well as with external senior personnel.
  • Provide assistance, counsel, advice and guidance to all of the senior leadership within the Office of the Director on a wide variety of sensitive, critical, high-profile, time-sensitive, and often controversial issues
  • Participates in definition of assignments, including identification of work to be done and deadlines for completion

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a three year trial/probationary period.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. In order to qualify for this position, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience which includes:
1. demonstrated strong oral and written interpersonal communication skills with internal and external partners; 2. proficient in applicable organizational Army and governmental regulations, policies, and procedures related to all aspects of official senior leader visits and events; and 3. Possesses working knowledge of Army senior leader protocols, principles, methods, and business practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (DJ-02 or GS-09 equivalency).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position,
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
