We are seeking a Maintenance Superintendent for our LaPorte Area production facilities. The Maintenance Superintendent will lead the LaPorte maintenance team and have maintenance responsibility for the HyCO, ASU, and LHy plants in the region. The Maintenance Superintendent is expected to build strong relationships with the plant and regional support teams as well as local contractors. This position reports to the West Gulf Coast Regional Maintenance Manager.Job Responsibilities:

Work with the operations and maintenance teams to drive the best solutions for the business from a safety, maintenance, reliability, and production impact perspective daily.

• Lead the LaPorte maintenance team consisting of 1 Maintenance Supervisor, 2 Maintenance Planners, 9 Mechanical Technicians, 8 Instrumentation and Electrician Technicians, 2 Analyzer Technicians, and 1 Maintenance Scheduler.
• Develop fiscal year maintenance budget for each facility. Track and report monthly maintenance costs.
• Work with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize, develop, schedule, and communicate all daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities. Work with these groups to ensure maintenance execution readiness from a maintenance planning/ resourcing and operations equipment readiness perspective.
• Drive the maintenance team towards compliance with maintenance performance metrics such as PM compliance, compliance management, maintenance backlog, monthly spending vs budget and safety program participation. Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and very high priority maintenance activities.
• Work with technical engineering support teams to drive towards innovative solutions to maintenance issues as well as capital project recommendations for end of life assets and design upgrades.
• Proactively look for and mitigate safety concerns within all aspects of our maintenance activities. 
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Education and Requirements:

• 10 years in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment with maintenance, and/or operations roles is desired.
• Degree in technical trade school for instrumentation, mechanical, electrical, or Military technical training will be considered a plus. Relative experience will be given strong consideration in lieu of formal education.
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills are critical to the position.
• Strong leadership abilities coupled with excellent broad-based technical skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills and business acumen.
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills are a must. Project management skills as well as experience creating and implementing structured work processes are a plus for this role.
• Prior budgetary management and development experience is a plus.
• Prior SAP experience is preferred, and quick proficiency is considered critical to success.
