Reimagine What’s Possible North American Pipeline Manager Roles and Responsibilities: We are seeking a North America Pipeline Manager within our HYCO Operations located at our La Porte TX. The North America Pipeline Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the pipeline systems in North America. Teams managed include the central pipeline control center (CSC), HYCO remote plant operating center (OSC), integrity management team, compliance team and three regional pipeline operating teams. Overall company pipeline regulation and technical expert. Extensive involvement with GEMTE and Business Development for new pipeline systems. Pipeline supported include hydrogen, syngas, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ammonia, nitrogen, and oxygen in the U.S and Canada. The Americas Pipeline teams acts as the center of excellence for all pipelines within Air Products. This position reports to the WGC Line Manager and maintains a diverse team with deep technical and operations expertise in pipeline systems including H2, CO, Syngas, N2, O2 & CO2 pipelines. The pipeline industry is heavily regulated and extensively audited and the team must have an in-depth knowledge of PHMSA regulations and maintain meticulous records of all activities. The Pipeline Manager works across multiple sub regions including the GC, SoCal, North, South & Canada. The incumbent has the primary responsibility for the safe operation, regulatory compliance, and company standards. He/she is responsible to always administer and ensure compliance of established safety procedures in both worker safety, process safety & cyber security. He/she must establish an atmosphere of safety and motivate personnel to remain focused on safety as the pipeline team is made up of many lone workers. The incumbent supports the safety goals established, ensures hazard identification processes are instituted, and initiates proper strategic action items to enhance the overall safety performance. Required Skills / Abilities: Administer pipeline operations and compliance to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment through proper application of regulatory codes and internal APCI standards. Ensure excellence in performance and continuity of management through the effective selection, development, and motivation of a team of managers organized to optimize individual and group capabilities. Flawless tactical implementation of the strategic plan in a cost-effective manner. Provide critical input into the development of business strategic and operating plans. Provide leadership to effectively identify and promulgate practical best practices and work processes for all aspects of pipeline operations. Set the necessary KPI’s, strategies, objectives, and select the appropriate resources to achieve overall America’s business safety and financial goals. Communicate change management, financials, and approvals to Executive Management. Lead pipeline operations to ensure they are meeting their reliability, cost, and regulatory compliance goals. Ensure the proper technical depth exist in the technical ladder for Operations to address both current and future support needs. Interface with customers and the Air Products commercial team. Define what is required and what is preferred (add “preferred but not required” in parentheses as needed). Education and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Industry experience. 10 years of Leadership experience in Plant and Pipeline Operations & Maintenance. Demonstrated ability to interact with and positively influence stakeholders from multiple diverse organizations. Demonstrated technical expertise in pipeline operations and regulatory compliance.
