Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Quality Manager for the Amherst Plant leads a culture of quality through leadership of Quality Control, Laboratory Testing and Compliance, as well as maintaining our integrated Quality Management Systems. In this position, the Quality Manager will manage our internal customer relationships, external supplier quality requirements, internal auditing program, lead our Operational Readiness program, maintain our electronic quality management systems, execute capital projects and provide analysis/review of the data that stems from each of these programs, as necessary. In this role, you will: People Development – Provides leadership and development to maintain a culture of Quality, which delights our consumers. Works cross-functionally within the plant to develop an organization of diverse and high performing enthusiastic owners that have the skills and capabilities to drive growth while ensuring compliance. Regulatory Compliance and Supply Chain Operations Support - Will develop, implement, manage, and provide guidance and oversight to all key QMS operational processes. Continually perform quality systems gap analysis of operational sub-processes to ensure ongoing health of our Quality Management System and report issues to Senior Management. Will lead the Plant Operational Readiness effort as part of our Change Management process. Strategic Leadership – Provides strategic leadership and functional vision to develop the quality journey milestones. This role identifies key opportunities within the organization to drive quality improvements. Drive Continuous Improvement - Proactively identifying and leading improvement projects to drive improved capability, eliminate waste, and increase performance. Lead the Quality Maintenance TRACC to identify, develop, and implement process and system improvements. Advances the functions technical knowledge and links with experts within the field. Develop and utilize meaningful metrics to monitor and manage the performance of the Quality System. Other duties as assigned by manager or plant leadership What we look for: 5 years related experience in plant operations, engineering and/or quality management Working knowledge of quality systems and EPA regulatory requirements. Highly flexible and adaptable. Able to work independently in a fast paced multitasking environment. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Strong leadership & Influence skills – Ability to set direction and drive results Strong people management, coaching, and development skills Experience with having people reporting to you Critical reasoning skills and demonstrated ability to assess impact of planned and unplanned changes on product quality Strong interpersonal skills – a proven team player who contributes to a results focused and motivating team environment Strong technical project leadership and project management skills Strong organizational skills Flexibility to travel (<10%) Minimum BS in Engineering Discipline or equivalent work experience preferred Experience managing 3rd party and government inspections is preferred SAP experience is preferred Workplace type: This position will required and Onsite workmodel We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
