The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Mechanical Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Troubleshooting, repairing and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and components to include bearings, bushings, gear boxes, transmissions, motors, conveyor belts, pump seals, brakes, clutches, and drives. Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic equipment Performing basic machining using precision measuring equipment Repairing and replacing piping, tubing, and associated fittings Performing welding and fabrication tasks Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Possess, or in the last six (6) months of pursing, an associate degree in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic OR Possess a High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of maintenance experience in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Five (5) years of maintenance experience in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic Industrial motor drive controls troubleshooting experience Experience working with electrical equipment Industrial maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing environment Work location: Onsite - 601 22nd Ave S, Brookings, SD 57006 Travel: No Travel Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
