Your Role You will collaborate with cross-functional teams globally and have the opportunity to work on next-generation technologies such as automated driving, driver monitoring, and advanced safety systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing product solutions that make a positive impact on people's lives. You should have a strong background in Product development, with experience in parking systems and software design, end-to-end low speed motion control feature engineering and strong problem solving skills. You should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. In your daily job you will: Lead Engineering role for Global Product Organization for execution of Parking Platform Development. Perform high-level design of automotive ADAS systems, low speed parking algorithms, analyze product requirements to challenge feasibility in parking system architecture. Participate in review of surround view optics, electrical hardware, software, and mechanical designs. Identify architecture design elements to be tested during integration. Provide design and architectural analysis sensor calibration, test and verification methods, perception, SOC Fit analysis for critical resource estimates. Ownership of multiple parking platforms, alignment of architectures and design elements such that maximum re-use of feature assets is accomplished. Define and implement functional safety requirements. Plan engineering activities to secure program milestones. Review and support of engineering prioritization to comply with deliverables timing (HW (ME/EE), Validation, SW, Systems) according to product roadmap and program timing. Lead engineering voice in Big Room Planning, Program Iteration (PI) Demo, Program Iteration (PI) Retro. Define and approve Feature and Capability Roadmap, drive creation by competency leads of PI plans, align feasibility with engineering disciplines. Monitor delivery of the product solution and support all technical decisions that go across multiple scrum teams Escalate topics to engineering management that require mgmt. support Monitor that engineering execution is following standard work and best practices. The work products comply with applicable organization policies and procedures. Analyze and escalate platform risks when project scope changes; evaluate, rate, action plans, change points and manage contingency plans. Report Platform development progress to Program and Engineering Management. Escalate delays of the program and align for Capability and Feature prioritization. Escalate need for resources to upper management. Assure the engineering competencies are considering design for manufacturability (DFA, DFM). Approval of engineering deliverables to Product Gates Support evaluation of impacts (efforts, costs, timeline) of internal, supplier and customer technical (product) change requests. Support Customer programs in analysis and resolution of Issues and PCRs from Development Verification, Design Validation. Support problem troubleshooting and drives corrective action. Support creation of Engineering budget input for BBP cycle: Resource demand, Capital expense, material, credits. Support the collection, consolidation and agreement to Engineering spend against approved Engineering budget further to their assigned projects. Your Background Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your: Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
