Summary ObjectiveThe Cost Analyst will be required to possess operational knowledge of working in petrochemical plants and refineries. This should be adjusted to a non-operations role, more for administrative functions of cost/revenue tracking. The duties will target cost analysis for contract companies in the oil and gas & industrial sector. Responsibilities
Must be highly proficient in reviewing proposal documents in MS Word in accordance with the requirements of the RFQ.
Must work well with others and seek to comprehend operational concepts to gain optimal efficiency in their job.
Ability to take direction and deliver in a self-sufficient manner.
Must be proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.
Work closely with regional manager to facilitate managing the following financial parameters:
Job level and branch level analysis.
Cost memos.
Generate reports detailing cost and revenue trends.
Managing vendors and rentals.
Working closely with the administrative team.
Work alongside branch admin to create analysis for close.
Create, measure, track cost savings initiatives.
Drive revenue and accuracy of billing.
Enhance business and job level financial controls.
Proactively manage project tracking and cost analysis
Create a brief financial report monthly to help key players understand the status vs. KPIs.
Maintain project and job records to facilitate billings to customers.
Produce managerial data to support the branch managers in decision making
Communicate with the customer at the direction of the regional manager.
Work with operations to maximize revenue and manage cost.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Accounting or Finance Degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience costing and estimating industrial projects and jobs.
Basic Safety Training Skills.
Basic communication skills.
Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Good communication skills with co-workers, management, and other personnel
