The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement in our strategic pricing capability across the NAPA Auto Parts business. Serving as a thought leader and principal strategist, the Senior Manager will be instrumental in shaping a uniform company price strategy tailored to meet the needs of NAPA independent owners. This role will focus on value creation through precise pricing actions aimed at increasing NAPA's share of wallet, expanding independent owner market share, and contributing to the development of future departmental structures and execution methodologies. Position Performance Measures: • Act as a key partner in refining and implementing a singular NAPA price execution strategy across various selling channels, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals. • Lead and guide team members in the careful execution and tracking of targeted pricing actions, leveraging data-driven insights to drive business growth. • Ensure NAPA consistently meets and exceeds annual sales, profit, inventory turn, and cash conversion cycle responsibilities, contributing directly to the organization's bottom line. • Meet and exceed targets and metrics associated with primary value drivers of the role, demonstrating tangible impact and value creation. Responsibilities • Provide leadership and direction to a team of Pricing Managers, overseeing the development and delivery of portfolio analytics and price discount recommendations tailored to the unique needs of independent owners within the NAPA network. • Design and facilitate comprehensive training programs aimed at empowering independent owners with the latest pricing best practices and methodologies, ensuring alignment with overarching strategic objectives. • Support the design and implementation of advanced pricing models and methodologies, leveraging analytics and market insights to inform strategic decision-making. • Develop and execute pricing strategies that are closely aligned with business objectives, market dynamics, and customer value propositions, ensuring maximum profitability and sustainable growth. • Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of performance metrics, sales trends, and competitive landscapes, identifying key opportunities and potential risks to inform strategic pricing decisions. • Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insights and intelligence, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics and competitive pressures. • Foster a culture of collaboration and cross-functional alignment, working closely with Category, Procurement, and Sales teams to gather relevant data and insights for informed pricing decisions. • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, driving implementation efforts to enhance pricing effectiveness and efficiency. • Develop a high level of proficiency in the use of all pricing applications and analytical tools available, staying abreast of the latest developments and best practices in the field. Qualifications Required: • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, or other quantitatively rigorous field • A minimum of 7 years of experience or equivalent management experience in the field of pricing, merchandising / category management, or finance • Proactiveness & comfort in challenging the status quo and ideating on new & innovative ways to approach ongoing problem statements. • Passion for a combination of strategy, data, analytics, insights. • Experience managing and balancing complex transformation projects simultaneously • Excitement to take insights and drive to practical answers to generate in-year impact. • Comfort with analytics / translator type roles (heavy numbers / numerical focus). • Experience in developing ad hoc analysis, leveraging PowerBI dashboards & other reporting tools. • Detail oriented with strong problem solving/decision making skills • Ability to establish credibility and build strong relationships • Ability to work independently and conduct analysis of business data, confer with business line leaders, create system documentation, and conduct verbal and written presentations Preferred: • Graduate degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, or other quantitatively rigorous field • A minimum of 3 years of experience in multi-channel pricing, promotion management, dynamic pricing, or loyalty programs. • Proficiency in BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikSense), Google Big Query, Microsoft Excel, and Python for data analysis and visualization.
