ChampionX is currently looking for an AURA OGI – Hardware / Firmware Development Engineer. This role will be based in Sugar Land, TX. What You Will Do: Assist in the prototyping, development, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of AURA camera hardware, ensuring operational integrity and performance. Contribute technical expertise in electronic hardware/firmware and leverage skills in C# programming for software development and system diagnostics. Engage in testing procedures to validate the functionality and reliability of AURA camera systems. Document technical processes and create maintenance protocols for ongoing support of AURA camera products. Work closely with the development team to refine product specifications and enhance camera features. Collaborate in the design and development of AURA camera systems, with a focus on advanced navigation and orientation capabilities using GNSS and IMU technologies. The candidate will occasionally be required to travel to customer/supplier sites for meetings and field testing of new products. Flexibility for travel is required. Other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Demonstrable experience in electronic hardware development, firmware implementation and troubleshooting. Proficiency in Linux-based OS and C# programming or similar firmware level programming languages. Familiarity with GNSS, IMU, and related navigation/orientation systems and working with IMX-8 based SOM systems. Technical experience with thermal camera hardware or similar opto- electronic systems is preferred and navigation and positioning system knowledge is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a track record of working effectively in a collaborative environment. Availability for local travel 40% Immigration Sponsorship is not available for this role.
