Legal and Regulatory Guidance
- Works on cases or legal issues of extreme complexity. These are characterized by one or more of the following: (1) extremely complex and difficult issues requiring a high order of legal endeavor often require the incumbent to balance conflicting interests and (2) matters that can have an important impact on the telecommunications industry whose economic position affects major private and public interests.
- Provides authoritative advice, review and consultation of issues to bureau officials on the Commission's role in implementing policies and procedures pursuant the Communications Act.
- Drafts and reviews orders and regulations relating to wireline matters.
- Identifies and analyzes challenging situations and works with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides policy recommendations to division and bureau management.
- Analyzes public comments received and makes recommendation for new rules or modification to existing rules.
- Prepares agenda items and proposed memorandum opinion and orders; notice of proposed rulemaking; and other decisional documents.
- FCC Employees Only
- Suitable for employment as determined by a background investigation.

- Bar Membership documentation required upon selection
