As a Budget Analyst, You Will Assist In Advising, Formulate, And Execute Budget Requirements For All Phases Of Work Of The Budget Cycle. Typical Duties May Include:

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Background Investigation: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency that requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation prior to employment in order to promote the agency's core values of vigilance, service to country, and integrity. - Performing a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties connected with the formulation, execution, review, justification, and presentation of the budget for Office of Trade or major components of Office of Trade.
- Assisting with the review, analysis, and interpreting of existing and proposed legislation, appropriation language, executive orders, and OMB circulars and bulletins.
- Assisting with developing and evaluating policies in assigned program areas, taking or recommending actions to achieve organizational objectives, and recommending future program objectives and improvements.
- Assisting with planning, developing, and coordinating financial management through briefings, presentations, and conferences for management and senior leadership.
- Assisting with developing cost-benefit analysis of proposed budgetary program actions, and advising OT management, program managers, and senior leadership of the most advantageous courses of action.

- Preparing detailed budget estimates, justifications and budget execution plans based on strategic and performance plans.
- Evaluating and analyzing program budgets and contributing to identifying trends and changes in both summary and detailed data for use in analysis, forecasts, models, presentations, and recommendations.
